Last walk of the year and I kept it local by following the Roman road south east to Haverhill in Suffolk.

There were some unpleasant road sections at the beginning and end and the endless straight track got a bit monotonous after a while. Probably not a walk I’d do again.

I had someone round a while ago to fix some things in the flat and while we were chatting he mentioned he lived in Haverhill and told me it was a “sh*thole”. Well it didn’t seem that bad but it did have one of the most generic high streets I’ve ever seen.
